The vast majority of Poles do not want the government to buy COVID-19 vaccines from China or Russia, results of a recent poll show.
Only 19 percent of respondents said that the government should by the Russian vaccine and 26 percent were in favour of purchasing the Chinese one.
Virologist prof. Wlodzimierz Gut told Super Express that these “vaccines meet international requirements,” and are based on the same factors, but the ways of obtaining them are different.
“Unfortunately, Poles have Russophobia and bad experiences because of sellers who import the worst products from China, including medicines,” he said, adding that people are not aware of how well all vaccine procedures are maintained.
The survey was carried out on March 3-4 by Pollster Research Centre for the Super Express tabloid on a sample of 1,033 adult Poles.
